Export reviews to CSV

The export follows the current tab, site and filters exactly; the columns; the 50,000 cap; and why the file only ever downloads to your device.

Last updated October 14, 2026

The export is a copy of what you are looking at, not a copy of everything. Set the view first, then export it.

What you need: at least one connected source. The button is hidden until then.

Export what a view shows

  1. Pick the tab you want: Reviews or Archive.
  2. Set the site, the filters and the search, including a date range if you want one. The drawer says so where you set it: the export follows these filters exactly.
  3. Press Export CSV, at the top of the screen.
  4. Read the summary at the top of the dialog. It repeats the tab and every filter chip, so you can see what is about to leave.
  5. Press the confirm button, which carries the number of reviews.

The file saves to this device as soon as you press the button. Nothing is emailed and no link is shared. There is no progress screen to wait on: your browser shows the download as it would any other.

The columns

1 row per review, in this order:

date, site, location, author, rating, title, review, language, reply status, reply, assignee.

"Rating" is the number of stars, empty for a review with no stars such as a Facebook recommendation. "Reply" is what went out or was copied, so a spot check for whether an answer was given does not need a second file.

A review is exported word for word, exactly as it was written. Where a review starts with a character a spreadsheet would treat as a formula, the file puts a single quote in front of it so the text opens as text. Spreadsheets hide that quote when they show the cell.

The file opens correctly in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets, including accents and other languages.

The 50,000 cap

1 export carries up to 50,000 reviews. The dialog says so before you press anything, and if your view holds more it turns into a warning naming how many are left over. Narrow the date range and run it twice rather than hoping the file is complete: nothing is silently cut short, but the rows past the cap are not in it.

Useful exports

  • Last month, 1 to 3 stars, for the team meeting about what went wrong.
  • One location, last quarter, for the manager of that location.
  • Replied by hand, to check that the replies you copied were actually posted on the site.

What the export cannot give you

An export only holds reviews we have collected. A review site may hold years of older reviews, and the ones that never reached ReviewComet are not in the file. Archived reviews are, from the Archive tab.

What this costs

Nothing. Exports are manual work, and manual work is free however often you run it. An account whose credits have run out can still export everything it holds, because reading and collecting reviews never pause.
