Everything you can see in the product, you can take with you. There are 2 self-serve exports and one route for a full copy of the account.
What you need: access to the location holding the data. Exports follow what you can see, so a member limited to 2 locations exports those 2.
Reviews
The Export CSV button sits at the top of the reviews feed and follows the screen exactly: the tab you are on, the site you picked, the filters you set and the search you typed.
The export reviews to CSV dialog showing the current view, the columns and the export button.
- Set the feed to show what you want to take.
- Press Export CSV. The dialog says how many reviews match.
- Press Export in the dialog. The file saves to this device right away. Nothing is emailed and no link is shared.
The columns are date, site, location, author, rating, title, review, language, reply status, reply and assignee. One export carries up to 50,000 reviews. Past that, narrow the date range and take it in pieces.
Reports
A report built under Insights carries the charts and the summaries for a period and a set of sources, and can be sent or shared as a link. It is the readable version rather than the raw one: use the CSV exports above when you want the underlying rows.
A full copy of the account
The exports above cover the data most people mean. For a complete copy of everything held about you, including account records, team, settings and billing history, write to support@reviewcomet.com and ask for it. The request is answered within 1 month, at no cost, in a portable format.
You can ask for the same thing on behalf of somebody who reviewed your business, since in that relationship you are the controller and we hold their reviews for you.
Export before you delete
Deleting a location is permanent and there is no export afterward. If you are about to close something down, take the CSV first:
- Export the reviews feed with All sites selected and no filters, on each tab you care about, including Archive.
- Download the invoices you need from the billing screen.
- Then delete.
What is not in an export
Access tokens are never exported. They are encrypted at rest, are never shown back to anyone, and would be useless outside the platform that issued them.
Deleted reviews are not resurrected by an export. If a review was removed from our records, there is nothing left to write into a file.
An export only holds reviews we collected, so it starts where your connection did.
