Invoices and payment method

Finding and downloading invoices, changing the card, and putting a VAT number and the right address on what you receive.

Last updated September 14, 2026

Every invoice raised on your account is on your billing screen, and the card behind them lives with the payment provider rather than with us. Both are on Settings > Billing, and on an agency account the same pair sits in the agency panel under Settings > Subscription.

What you need: the owner of the account, or a person the owner gave billing access to. Everyone else runs the product and never sees an amount.

The invoice list

Invoices are listed newest first with 5 columns: the invoice number, the period it covers, the date it was issued, the amount, and whether it is paid or still open.

The amount is the total that was charged to your card. Where VAT was added, the VAT inside that total is printed on a second line under it, so the figure in the column is always the one to reconcile against your statement.

The download button on each row hands back a PDF. It is the real document rather than a summary of one, so it is the thing to send to whoever handles your books.

If the list is empty, nothing has been billed yet. The first invoice arrives at the end of your first cycle.

Changing the card

Cards never reach us. They are held by the payment provider, which is why every route to them is a hand-off rather than a form on this screen.

  • On an account we bill, Manage subscription opens the secure billing portal. The card, the billing address, VAT details and cancellation all live there.
  • Where a provider bills you, Update payment method opens their portal instead, and it appears only when they have given your account that permission.
Suggested image Screenshot of the Update your payment method dialog: the subtitle naming whose portal it opens, the sentence about the card living there rather than here, the lock line saying we never see or store card details, and the Open the portal button.

You come straight back afterward. A change to the card applies to the next payment, including a retry of one that failed.

VAT numbers and the billing address

Prices on the pricing page and on your billing screen are net. VAT is worked out at checkout from the billing address on your account and added to the price where it is due. A business in the EU that has given us a valid VAT number is not charged VAT at all, and outside the EU no VAT is added.

Without a billing address there is no country to price the VAT from, so a one-click pack purchase stops and asks for one instead of charging the card. The button on that notice opens the portal on the address form, and the purchase goes through when you come back.

Both the address and the VAT number are properties of the account in the billing portal, not of a single invoice. Change them there and the next invoice picks them up.

An invoice that has already been issued cannot be reissued with new details from this screen. If you need an old one corrected, email support@reviewcomet.com and say which invoice number it is.

Who issued what

The footer of the invoice card names the issuer. On an account we bill, the invoices are ours. Where a provider bills you, every invoice on that list was raised by them on their own billing account, and anything older than the list shows is a question for them.

Receipts for packs

A pack is charged once, to the card already on the account, and it shows up on the invoice for the period you bought it in. That is why a month with a pack in it reads higher than the plan price on its own. Packs are non-refundable, so the invoice is the record of a purchase that stands.
