The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Marketing Released B.V., the the Netherlands company that operates ReviewComet, for use of reviewcomet.com and the ReviewComet app. Creating an account or authorizing a connection means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and “you” means that company.
3 other documents form part of the agreement: our privacy policy, our data processing addendum, which applies whenever we handle personal data on your behalf, and our cookie notice. The company details are on our company information page.
Your account
You need an account to use the service, and the details on it have to be accurate. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do with the roles you gave them. Keep your password to yourself, turn on two-factor authentication, and tell us at support@reviewcomet.com if you think someone else has got in.
1 free trial per business. Creating extra accounts to get more trials is a breach of these terms, and our signup screening usually stops it before the account exists.
Plans and credits
There are 3 plans, Solo-Pro, Agency and Whitelabel. Solo-Pro covers up to 3 locations. Agency and Whitelabel cover as many locations as you add, including your clients’ locations. Every plan includes unlimited reviews and unlimited team members, and we will not charge you more because a location got a lot of reviews.
Credits are the one meter, and they work like this:
- A rule action or an API action costs 1 credit, and so does each review request email. An AI reply, a reply draft or an AI check costs what it costs us to run, shown as credits on your billing screen.
- Handling reviews by hand costs nothing, however much of it you do. Reading reviews, replying yourself, assigning and archiving are always free.
- Solo-Pro includes 10,000 credits a month. Agency includes 50,000 a month, shared across every client location in the account. Whitelabel includes 100,000 a month, shared the same way.
- Included credits do not roll over. They reset at the start of each billing cycle.
- At zero credits, automation pauses. Reviews keep arriving and the app keeps working, so nothing is locked and nothing is lost. Automation restarts the moment you top up or the cycle resets.
- Credit packs are one-off purchases at the prices shown on the pricing page. Packs are used after the monthly credits and expire 12 months after purchase.
A change to what an action costs is a change to these terms, and it gets the notice period set out below.
Billing, renewal and refunds
Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in US dollars, exclusive of any tax your country applies. Every price we publish is net: VAT is calculated at checkout from the billing address you give us and added to the price where it is due, and a business in the EU that gives us a valid VAT number is not charged VAT under the reverse charge. Cards are processed by Stripe. Annual billing charges 10 months for 12.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Canceling is 2 clicks on the billing page and needs no explanation.
- Canceling stops the next charge. Your workspace runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and replies you posted before then stay posted.
- Your first monthly payment is 100% refundable within 14 days under our satisfaction guarantee. Ask within 14 days and you get all of it back.
- Annual plans, renewals and credit packs are non-refundable, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
- If a payment fails we retry and email you. If it keeps failing, processing pauses. Nothing is deleted while an account is in arrears.
- We change prices only with 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal, never mid-cycle.
The free trial
The trial is 7 days of the Solo-Pro plan with every feature switched on and a batch of credits so you can see the automation work. No credit card is required to start it, and nothing is charged during those 7 days. If you add a card during the trial, the trial turns into whichever plan you are on when it ends and the first payment is taken then; cancel before it ends and you are never charged. If the trial ends without a card, or after you cancel, processing of new reviews stops but nothing else changes: your data, your rules and your settings stay exactly as they are, and picking a plan turns everything back on.
Agency accounts and clients
The Agency plan lets you run client locations under your own branding, with your name and your logo in the app and in the emails your clients receive. When you do that, you are the one your clients contract with. You are responsible for the promises you make to them, for the caps you allocate from your credit pool, and for having their permission to connect their review sources and to contact their customers.
Between you and us, these terms still govern. We can act on instructions from the account owner, including suspending a client workspace, and we are not a party to your agreement with your client.
If you offer the service under your own brand, you are responsible for telling your clients, in your own privacy policy, about the AI features you have switched on for them, including the assistant, and about the AI processors listed on our privacy page.
Acceptable use
Use ReviewComet for managing the reviews of businesses you are entitled to manage. Do not use it to:
- Connect a Page or account you do not own or have not been authorized to manage.
- Send a review request to someone without a lawful basis, including consent where the law requires it, or to an address that has unsubscribed.
- Ask only the customers you expect to be happy, filter who is asked by rating or sentiment, or steer unhappy customers away from public review sites. Every customer you ask must get the same review page.
- Offer anything in exchange for a review, write or buy fake reviews, or post reviews about your own business or a competitor’s.
- Present reviews in a way that misleads people about your overall rating, or break a consumer protection law about reviews that applies to you, such as the FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials in the United States or the EU and UK rules on fake and suppressed reviews.
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited replies, or anything deceptive, harassing or unlawful.
- Build a competing product from our output, resell access on a plan that does not allow reselling, or scrape the app.
- Attack the service: probing, load testing without permission, bypassing rate limits, or trying to reach another customer’s data.
- Feed the AI features content you have no right to process, or use them to generate abusive or illegal replies.
- Use the assistant to build profiles of individual reviewers or to combine data across unrelated accounts.
Your obligations to the review sites
ReviewComet acts through the official APIs, with your authorization, as your Page. Your own agreements with the review sites still apply, and you are responsible for keeping to them, including the Meta Terms of Service, the Facebook Pages Terms and the Community Standards. The same goes for the review policies of every site your review page sends customers to, such as Google’s rules on reviews in Google Maps.
You confirm you are entitled to grant us access to every source you connect, and that you will disconnect a source when that stops being true. A review site can suspend, rate limit or revoke access to its API at any time. If that happens, features that depend on it stop working, and that is outside our control and not a failure of the service.
ReviewComet is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., Google LLC or any other review site.
Automation and AI replies
Rules and agents act on your instruction. Any reply they post and any request they send goes out in your name and is your responsibility, exactly as if you had typed it. Configure them with that in mind, and use the approval mode if you want a person in the loop.
AI output is generated automatically and can be wrong. We do not warrant that a classification is correct or that a drafted reply is accurate, appropriate or compliant with a rule that applies to your industry. Check the drafts before you let an agent post on its own, and keep checking.
You own the replies your account sends. You grant us the license we need to store, process and transmit them in order to run the service, and nothing more.
The in-app assistant works the same way: it proposes a change and you confirm it before anything happens. You are responsible for every action you confirm, including a reply it sends on your behalf, exactly as if you had typed it yourself. Its output, like any AI output, can be wrong, so review what it proposes before you confirm it.
Availability and support
We aim for 99.9% monthly availability, excluding planned maintenance we announce in advance and outages caused by a review site’s API. Reviews arrive as fast as each site delivers them, which is usually seconds and occasionally longer when a site is degraded.
Support is by email at support@reviewcomet.com, in English, during European business hours. We answer most things the same working day.
Who owns what
We own ReviewComet: the software, the interface, the brand and everything we have written. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active, and nothing else transfers to you.
You own your content: your reviews data, your contacts, your rules, your saved replies and your knowledge entries. We do not use it to train models, and we do not use it to build features for anybody else. The one thing we publish is aggregated statistics that cannot identify you, your workspace or any reviewer.
If you send us feedback, we can act on it without owing you anything. That is the only thing we take for free.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a review site delivers every review, that a site accepts every reply, or that the service runs uninterrupted.
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or reputational harm. Our total liability in any 12 month period is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are untouched.
Suspension and termination
You can end this at any time: close the account from its settings, or remove ReviewComet in your Facebook settings, which revokes our access on the spot. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. We tell you why and, where the breach can be fixed, give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.
After closure, your data is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy, and every route to erasure is set out in deleting your data. Replies already posted on a review site stay there, because they live on the site’s side and do not depend on us.
Changes to the service and these terms
We improve the product continuously, and features change. We do not remove something you rely on without notice. For these terms, material changes are emailed to account owners at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them. If you would rather not, close the account before the date and we refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands, and the courts of Amsterdam have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there.
